AS media companies chase readers and advertisers online and into the mobile space, one American newspaper is promoting itself as a break from the onslaught of digital information.
“Unplug – It’s Sunday” is the new campaign being launched by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The newspaper is positioning its Sunday edition as a refreshing alternative to the daily bombardment from television, radio, websites, emails, SMS and social networks.
US$1 million will be spent pushing the campaign with ads appearing – somewhat ironically – on the TV medium.
